DuPage Republican Leader Pleads Guilty to DUI

Randy Ramey had little to say following his court appearance Monday.

DuPage County Republic Party Chairman Randy Ramey pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol this morning and was fined $1,750, TribLocal is reporting.

Ramey, stepson of former Senate President James "Pate" Phillip, was arrested in the early-morning hours of Aug. 30 after Carol Stream police saw him driving erratically. He reportedly registered a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

Ramey in July, filling the unexpired term of DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin of Elmhurst.
