Police: Man Who Stole $7K in Merchandise from Target Arrested in Woodridge

Carlos Adraneda, 29, from Skokie, had been under investigation by Target when he was arrested in Woodridge Jan. 6.

A Skokie man who had stolen almost $7,000 in merchandise from various Chicago-area Targets was arrested at Woodridge's location Dec. 6, according to . 

Carlos Adraneda, 29, from 5016 Wright Terrace in Skokie, was arrested around 11:07 a.m. and charged with retail theft after he attempted to remove several items from Target, 2333 63rd St. 

After talking with Target security, police officers discovered Adraneda had also stolen merchandise from a Bolingbrook Target and had been under investigation by Target for several weeks.

In all, Adraneda had stolen $6,676 worth of items from various Target stores in the Chicago area, according to police.

Officers were granted felony approval for charges against Adraneda, police said.
