Credit card fraud
Someone fraudulently obtained the credit card number of another and charged more than $400 worth of items from Jewel, 2317 75th St., around 5 p.m., police said.

Retail theft

An off-duty Woodridge police officer was shopping at the Jewel Osco, 2317 75th St., around 2:15 p.m. and observed a group of juveniles shoplifting items, police said. Officers responded to the area and made contact with the group at the corner of 75th Street and Janes Avenue. Two minors had stolen items in their possession and were subsequently arrested and charged with retail theft.
Purse stolen from church
A woman left her purse at St. Scholastica Parish, 7800 Janes Avenue, around 1 p.m. When she returned to get it, it was gone, police said.
Driving under the influence
Satyananayan Pillutla, 53, from the 1600 block of Estate Cir. in Naperville, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident following a traffic accident near the intersection of 75th Street and Woodridge Drive, police said.

Possession of a controlled substance
Zachary Berndt, 25, from the 11000 block of Myrtle Street in Huntley, was arrested around 9:50 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance after being stopped in the 2200 block of Dalewood Parkway, police said.
