Items stolen from vehicles

  • Several power tools were taken from a vehicle between midnight and 6:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Double Eagle Drive, police said. Reports state the driver’s side window of the vehicle was smashed during the burglary.
  • A GPS unit and laptop were stolen from a vehicle between 1 and 8 a.m. in the 6500 block of Double Eagle Drive, police said. Reports state the driver’s side window of the vehicle was smashed during the burglary.

Jeffrey Schaffer, 24, from 17240 Bridalwood Lane, Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop at about 12:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of Lemont Road, police said.

July 14

Lawn furniture stolen

A piece of lawn furniture was stolen from the front yard of a home between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Vista Drive, police said.

Items stolen from vehicle

A DVD player and digital camera were stolen from a vehicle between 8 p.m. July 14 and 10 a.m. July 15 in the 2200 block of Country Club Drive, police said.

July 15

DUI

Monica Herrera, 21, from 596 Greystone Lane, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at about 1:15 a.m. in the 8000 block of Route 53, police said.

Vehicles vandalized

  • Someone smashed the back windshield of a vehicle with an unknown object at about 2 a.m. in the 2900 block of Autumn, police said.
  • Someone smashed the back windshield of a vehicle and damaged the driver’s side door of another vehicle with an unknown object at about 2 a.m. in the 8300 block of Mendingwall, police said.
  • The windshield of a vehicle was damaged with an unknown object at about 2 a.m. in the 8100 block of Geneva, police said.

July 16

Bike stolen

A bike was stolen from the front yard of a home between midnight and 2 a.m. in the 6600 block of Macarthur Drive, police said.

Disorderly conduct

Jennifer Allen, 28, 7333 Woodward Ave., Woodridge, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident at about 12:50 p.m. in the 7400 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.

Items stolen from vehicle

  • A GPS unit and other items were stolen from a vehicle between 9 p.m. July 15 and 8:20 a.m. July 16 in the first block of Scarlet Hawthorne Court, police said.
  • Various power tools were stolen from a vehicle at about 2 a.m. in the 2500 block of Waterbury Drive, police said. Reports state the passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed during the burglary.

July 17

DUI

Ashley Dettlinger, 24, from 6720 Westmoreland, Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at about 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Woodridge and Maxwell drives, police said.

Liquor stolen from Jewel

Two bottles of alcoholic liquor were stolen at about 3:15 p.m. from Jewel in the 2300 block of 75th Street, police said.

Tires slashed

Someone slashed the tires of a vehicle between 1 and 5 a.m. in the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.

Cell phone stolen

Someone stole a cell phone at about 7:15 p.m. at Cypress Cove in the 8300 block of Janes Avenue, police said.

Building vandalized

Someone damaged the entrance window near the front door to a building between 4 p.m. July 17 and 6 p.m. July 19 in the 1400 block of Davey Road, police said.

July 19

Items stolen from vehicle

Various power tools and an air compressor were stolen from a vehicle between noon July 15 and noon July 19 in the 2500 block of Crystal Court, police said. Reports state the passenger side lock was damaged during the burglary.

Retail theft

Delana Hughes, 20, 1531 Centennial, Joliet, was charged with retail theft after she removed two pairs of shoes at about 3 p.m. from Kohl’s in the 1000 block of 75th Street, police said.

Purse stolen from vehicle

A purse was stolen from a vehicle between 8:30 and 9 p.m. at the Seven Bridges Ice Arena, police said. Reports state the front passenger window was smashed during the theft.

Residential burglary

Someone stole $200 in cash and other various items from a home at about 10 a.m. in the 7400 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.

July 20

Items stolen from vehicle

Various items, including a garage door opener, were stolen from a vehicle between 11 p.m. July 19 and 7 a.m. July 20 in the 8200 block of Chesterton, police said.

July 21

Battery

Cindy Washington, 38, from 7813 Woodward Ave, was charged with battery following an incident at about 1 p.m. in the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.

DUI

Cory Ryan, 24, from 998 Timber Springs, Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at about 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of Hobson Road and Woodridge Drive, police said.

July 22

Vehicle vandalized

  • Someone smashed the rear passenger window of a vehicle between 9:30 p.m. July 21 and 2 a.m. July 22 in the 2700 block of North Creek Drive, police said.

Window shattered

The front window of a business was shattered with an unknown object between 8 p.m. July 21 and 7 p.m. July 22 in the 1000 block of 101st Street, police said.

Playground equipment damaged

Various pieces of playground equipment were damaged at about 2:30 p.m. at Sipley School in the 2800 block of 83rd Street, police said.
