Police Blotter: Thefts and DUI's Over the Holidays
Three thefts from Kohl's and two instances of driving under the influence reported in Woodridge from Dec. 24-27.
Dec. 27
Holiday (stolen) returns at Kohl's
Anton Rybets, 22, from 3029 Linder Ave. in Chicago, was arrested around 5 p.m. and charged with retail theft after he attempted to exchange stolen merchandise for cash at , 1001 75th St., police said.

Bridge marked with paint
Someone marked the underpass of a bridge near Hobson Road and the DuPage River with black paint around 1 a.m., police said.

Dec. 26
Driving under the influence
Tomas De Los Santos-Rios, 40, from 141 Denber St. in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 7400 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.
Theft from Kohl's
A man removed a pair of shoes and replaced them with the ones he was originally wearing around 5 p.m. at , 1001 75th St., police said. He then fled on foot.
Aggravated battery
Armando Garcia Gonzalez, 26, from 50 W. 65th St. in Westmont, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery following a fight at , 7451 Woodward Ave., police said.
Dec. 25
Bike stolen
Someone removed a bike from the common area of Waterbury apartment complex around 10 a.m. in the 2500 block of Waterbury Drive, police said.
Dec. 24
Driving under the influence
Jacob Bierle, 24, from 648 Londonberry Lane in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 7:45 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a traffic accident near the intersection of 75th Street and Woodward Avenue, police said.
Watches stolen from Kohl's
Nathan Sabo, 19, from 6726 Western Ave. in Darien, was arrested around 2 p.m. and charged with retail theft after he removed various watches from , 1001 75th St., police said.
