Police Blotter: Handguns Stolen From Storage Unit

Woodridge Police Reports Sept. 21 - Sept. 26.

At approximately 12:10 p.m., Miranda Garcia, 20, of 2343 Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove, was charged with theft. Woodridge police say Garcia removed cash from a cash register at the Home Depot at 7200 Woodward Avenue.

Sometime between early August and September 20, someone stole three handguns from a storage unit located in the 8000 block of Route 53.

Police Blotter information is provided by local law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
