Gas Theft
Someone took $37.20 of gasoline and left without paying at Thornton's Gas Station, 2401 63rd St., at about 4:51 a.m.

Retail Theft
Mariela Cortes, 57, of the 6200 block of Santa Barbara Court in Plainfield, was charged with retail theft. Police said she stole numerous pieces of clothing and jewelry from Kohl's, 1001 75th St. in Woodridge.

A 16-year-old was also charged with retail theft after stealing various clothing items from the same Kohl's store in Woodridge.
Loud Noises
Police responded to a complaint of loud noise in the 3400 block of 83rd Street at about 9:52 p.m. Bruce Madurzak, 33, of Woodridge, was charged with a noise complaint after police said he was using loud equipment in his home. Madurzak was also charged with obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.
