Police Blotter: Man Tries to Steal Pills with BB Gun

Man gets two DUI's in two days, business window shattered, residential burglary and more in this week's police blotter.

Jan. 31 

Resisting a police officer 

Ramonte Hackman, 18, from the 1000 block of Yates Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. and charged with resisting a police officer following an incident in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue, said.

Jan. 30 

Aggravated robbery, possession of marijuana

A man tried to obtain pills from Jewel-Osco Pharmacy, 2317 75th St., Jan. 30 while armed with a black, hangun-style BB gun, according to Woodridge police. 

Michael T. Johnson, 21, from the 2900 block of Crabtree Avenue, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. and charged with aggravated robbery and possession of marijuana. 

Driving under the influence

Timothy Baxter, 43, from 2403 10th Street in Silvis, IL, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transport of alcoholic liquor, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving while license suspended following an accident near the intersection of Route 53 and Hobson Road, police said. 

Business window shattered 

Someone shattered the glass in the back door of a business in the 2300 block of 75th Street during the overnight hours between Jan. 29 and Jan. 30, police said. 

Jan. 29 

Car stolen 

Someone stole a car during the overnight hours between Jan. 29 and Jan. 30 in the 2900 block of Forest Glen Parkway, police said.

Driving under the influence 

Timothy Baxter, 43, from the 2400 block of 10th Street in Silvis, IL, was arrested around 9 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop near the intersection of Janes Avenue and 75th Street, police said. 

Sign damaged at Jimmy John's 

Someone damaged a sign within Jimmy John's, 6325 Main St., around 7:30 p.m., police said.

Jan. 28 

Illegal possession of alcohol by a minor

Alexis Magee, 18, from the 25000 block of Forest Drive and a 16-year-old from Woodridge were both arrested around 8 p.m. and charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor following an incident in the 6600 block of Oak Tree Trail, police said.

Jan. 27 

Living room window shattered

Someone shattered the living room window of a residence in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue around 8 p.m., police said. 

Jacket stolen from Seven Bridges Ice Arena

Someone stole a jacket from a stool in the upstairs bar/restaurant area of Seven Bridges Ice Arena, 6690 Route 53, around 10 p.m., police said. 

Jan. 26 

Driving under the influence

Jamie Rinek, 27, from the 400 block of Stratford Court in Aurora, was arrested around 3 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop near the intersection of 75th Street and Dunham Road, police said. 

Residential burglary

Police officers observed entry had been made through the front door of a home around 11:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Mitchell Drive, which was forced open with damage to the frame, police said. Jewelry and cash were taken. 

Possession of marijuana 

Justin Mason, 18, from the 3400 block of Woodridge Drive, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana following an incident in the 3400 block of Woodridge Drive, police said.
