Driving under the influence
Joy Bloomfield-Thomas, 45, from the 10 block of Emma Court in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 12:55 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 53 and Everglade Avenue, said.

Car window shattered, purse stolen

Someone shattered the driver’s side window of a car and stole a purse between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Route 53, police said.
Possession of marijuana, drug equipment
Elizabeth Brandt, 19, from the 4400 block of Wilson Avenue in Downers Grove, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. and charged with possession of cannabis (under 30 grams) and possession of drug equipment following a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Janes Avenue, police said.
Residential burglary
Someone shattered the back door to a home, gained entry and removed several items between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. in the 7900 block of Chesterton Court, police said.

Theft from Kohl's
Rosalia Parra-Rubio, 30, from the 4000 block of N. Cass Avenue in Westmont, was arrested around 7 p.m. and charged with retail theft after she removed various clothing items from Kohl’s, 1001 75th St., police said.
