Flowers Stolen from School
Someone discovered that freshly planted flowers have been taken from the front entrance of William F. Murphy School around 7:30 a.m., police said.
sunday, oct. 3Attempted Alcohol Theft
Ten men in their late teens or early twenties attempted to take 20 bottles of vodka and one bottle of tequila from the Osco Drug in the 2300 block of 75th Street around 11:20 p.m., police said. The alcohol is valued at about $600.

Tip Jar Stolen
Someone took a tip jar from Rosati's Pizza in the 3000 block of Hobson Road. around 7:15 p.m., police said. The tip jar contained about $30.

Perfume Stolen
A 17-year-old from Darien was arrested and charged with retail theft after taking four bottles of perfume from the Kohl's in the 1000 block of 75th Street, police said.
Cologne, Earrings Stolen
Michael Garner, 22, of the 90000 block of Highland Road in Willowbrook, was arrested and charged with retail theft around 1:30 p.m. after taking three bottles of cologne and earrings from the Kohl's in the 1000 block of 75th Street, police said.

Someone stole a backpack containing a cell phone at the Janes Avenue Skate Park around 7:30 p.m., police said. The cell phone was valued at $60.
