Police: Man Murdered in Woodridge Apartment Following Break-In

The man was found dead in his apartment, which is located in the Emerald Court apartment complex, around 11 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Woodridge police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Gregory Holden.

A man was found dead in his Woodridge apartment Thursday morning following a break-in, according to  

Police responded to reports of a man bleeding around 11 a.m Thursday. The man, who was "still bleeding," was found dead in the Emerald Court apartment complex in the 2500 block of Meadowdale Lane. That block is located off of Janes Avenue across from the and

The man's death has been ruled a homicide, and believe someone broke into the apartment.

However, police have not released any additional information, including the man's name, whether he lived in the apartment or how he was killed.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public, 

No one has been charged in the incident, and it remains under investigation. The Woodridge Police Department has received assistance from FIAT (Fellow Investigation Assistance Team) in the investigation.
