Police: Off-Duty Officer Nabs Shoplifting Minors
Two minors were arrested and charged with retail theft in the Jan. 22 incident.
Two minors were arrested and charged with retail theft Jan. 22 after an off-duty police officer saw them shoplifting at Jewel-Osco, 2317 W. 75th St., according to reports.
The off-duty officer was shopping when he noticed a group in the store taking items without paying for them.
Woodridge police officers responded to the area and found the group on the corner of 75th Street and Janes Avenue. Two of the five individuals in the group had stolen items in their possession and were arrested and charged with retail theft.

Because the individuals were under the age of 18, no names were released. No ages were indicated in the report, either.
