Police Trainings to Occur Near North High Wednesday

If you see police and other emergency personnel near Wednesday or later on this month, don't be alarmed.

Three vacant homes are scheduled for demolition to expand North's campus. Before they are torn down, though, police will perform training exercises that involve multiple houses adjacent to one another.

The addresses of the homes are 1144 Grant, 4433 Saratoga and 4439 Saratoga in Downers Grove.

 Any damage done to the outside of the homes due to the training will be boarded up until the demolition, according to a District 99 release.

The trainings will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 14, 16, 19 and 23.
