Driver Injured after Truck Rear-Ends Car, Rolls Over

Hobson Road has been opened up to traffic following an accident that occurred at 8:45 a.m. Friday morning.

A truck driver was injured Friday morning after he rear-ended a car and his truck rolled over, Woodridge police said. 

The concrete mixer truck was traveling eastbound on Hobson Road toward Woodridge Drive around 8:45 a.m.

When the driver stopped for a red light, the truck rear-ended another car. The truck then traveled along a bike path, took down a traffic light and rolled over.

The extent of the driver's injuries was unknown, according to Woodridge Deputy Chief Gina Grady. He was transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville.

The accident closed the area to traffic until 10:48 a.m., when the road was again opened.

The accident is under investigation. No citations have been issued.
