Search Continues for Indicted Ex-Woodridge Cop

Scott A. Webb was indicted May 23. He allegedly took $30,000 from a police charity, DuPage County officials said.

The search continues for a former Woodridge cop who allegedly took $30,000 from a police charity, the Daily Herald reports.

Scott A. Webb, 39, of Romeoville, was indicted May 23. He is charged with taking $30,000 from two Crawlin' for the Fallen fundraisers, which benefit Concerns of Police Survivors. The organization benefits family members of police officers killed in the line of duty. 

The village learned of "potential wrongdoing" by Webb in August 2010, . He was placed on administrative leave while the village launched an internal investigation and notified the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

Webb submitted his resignation in March. 

Investigators are still actively pursuing Webb, the Daily Herald reported.

“We’re implementing every possible method available to us to locate him,” Darrah said in the article. “We’re not waiting on him to knock on our door.”
