Two Charged in Relation to Woodridge Car Burglaries

Two individuals were charged after they were observed going into unlocked vehicles May 17.

Two individuals, one from Wheaton and one from Woodridge, were charged early Tuesday, May 17, after they were observed going into unlocked cars in Woodridge.

Hung Diep, 28, from the 1000 block of College Avenue in Wheaton, was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. Christopher Brooks, 18, from the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle.

The arrests were made around 1:25 a.m. on May 17.

The pair was observed going into unlocked vehicles near the intersection of 83rd Street and Piers Drive.

have been reported since April 24. The latest string was reported May 13 to 14 near the intersection of Route 53 and Woodridge Drive. Five car burglaries between May 11 and 15.

It has not been reported by the whether the pair charged May 17 were connected to any previously reported incidents.
