Visit Dunkin Donuts Friday to Raise Money for Special Olympics

The Woodridge police will hold its annual "Cop on Top" fundraiser for Special Olympics of Illinois.

Trade a donation for a free donut this Friday. 

The , along with departments throughout Illinois, will participate in the "Cop on Top" fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Illinois. 

Everyone who makes a donation at either of Woodridge's two Dunkin Donuts locations between 5 a.m. and noon will receive a coupon for a free donut. Anyone who donates $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug, while supplies last. The mug will be filled, free of charge, at participating Dunkin' Donuts stores throughout the event.

Representatives from the police department will be at both the and locations during the fundraiser. 

The department raised $3,100 last year and hopes to surpass that amount in 2012.
