Woodridge Man Charged with Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia

James M. Pedicini, 24, of Woodridge was arrested April 27 around 11 p.m. and charged with multiple violations after being stopped for having an unreadable license plate near 75thStreet and Lemont Road.

An officer checking Pedicini’s identification discovered his license was suspended and he had a warrant from DeKalb for a previous charge.

The officer returned to the car to speak with Pedicini and detected an odor of burnt cannabis. During an inventory search of the car, a metal pipe was found in the center console, a bag of cannabis was found under the passenger seat and a bag of cannabis was found in an open compartment near the radio.

Pedicini was taken to the station and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, driving with no valid registration, driving with a license suspended and driving with no insurance. Pedicini was issued a court date for the current charges and paid a cash bond for the warrant before being released.
