Woodridge, Oak Forest Bank Robberies Happened in the Same Hour

FBI are investigating both robberies, which were reported around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Two bank robberies were reported in the southern Chicago suburbs in the same hour Wednesday, according to authorities. 

The first was at the TCF Bank in the Woodridge Jewel-Osco, located at 2317 W. 75th St. Shortly after 11 a.m., a man holding a bandana to his face approached the teller, . He did not show a weapon.

FBI Chicago described the robber as a black man in his mid-twenties with a medium build and a height of 5'10" to 6'. He was wearing a dark hoodie and baseball hat.

Then around 11:45 a.m., a man with a different description alluded to a handgun and , 5459 W. 159th St. Wednesday, authorities said. 

The Oak Forest robber was described as a white male, estimated at 35 years old and approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall, roughly 150 pounds.

FBI are investigating both bank robberies. In both incidents, it was unclear how much money was stolen, authorities said.
