The highest priorty of the Park District at this time is the financing and construction of the Athletic Recreation Center (ARC) in the Janes avenue location that will improve that area of the community and provide much needed programing space for our residents.

Although this seat is uncontested I believe my 24 years of experience on the Park Board uniquely qualifies me to continue in this position. I have also served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Park Districts, and as President of the state association in 1997. I served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Recreation and Park Association, based in Washington D.C. from 2000-2009.

What do you think the top 3 goals for the park district are?

1. The financing and construction of the Athletic Recreation Center. (ARC)

2. The continued sucessful mangement of Village Greens Golf Course under the new long term lease agreement with the Village of Woodridge.

3. Continuely offer additional creative spcial events and programming to all of our residents from tot school to seniors.

Should any additional services or programs be offered to the community?

The district is always looking for new programming opportunites to be implemented as space permits. We are also upgrading neighborhood parks, playgrounds, and facilities as needed. We wiill always seek community involvement when considering any project.

Is there any other information pertinent to your campaign that you would like to add?

The Woodridge Park District continues to be one of the highly rated districts in the state. It was one of the first districts to receive the coveted Distigushed Agency award and has won numerous awards for Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park as well as many other recognitions. I believe that the Park District provides the residents with the best value for their tax dollar.
