If your race is contested, what sets you apart from the other candidates?

What sets me apart from the other candidates is that I have young children and a vested interest in what young families need and want in their community.  I also have 21 years of retail management experience with a proven track record of being results oriented.

My service on the Plan Commission since 2006 has also given me valuable experience on the importance of  businesses relationships in our community. As a Member of the Senior Housing Selection committee in 2012,  I am committed to serving the needs of our Senior population.

What do you think are the top 3 goals for the Village of Woodridge?

1.  Continue to serve and reach out to our Diverse community.

2.  Continue to look at cost effective ways to maintain some of our older infrastructure to extend life and plan for future replacement.

3.  Remaining fiscally responsible and continuing to look for ways to be even more efficient in the delivery of services to our residents."

What are some ways to promote economic development in the village?

I beleive the Community Development Department does a good job promoting more economic growth in the community. Currently the Village Board and Plan Commission have worked with many businesses to help promote and increase their sales by approving some changes in signing to help get more exposure.

These are things we need to continue to look at to make our current businesses successful so they want to stay in Woodridge and we can attract new ones to the Village as well.

Are there any new services or programs Woodridge should try to offer?

I do not beleive adding new services is the direction to go right now.  Being able to maintain current services without increasing the tax burden to our residents is what we should be striving for. Also continuing to look at more cost effective ways of  being to able to offer the same programs or possibly combining programs to gain savings.
