Court Watch: Racist Remarks Carved into Elmhurst College Window Ledge

Check out the court cases we're keeping an eye on in DuPage County.

DUPAGE:
Elmhurst:
A 21-year-old from Libertyville is scheduled for a January hearing on a charge he carved racist remarks into concrete window ledge at Elmhurst College earlier this month. Myles Burton was charged with a hate crime related to the felony criminal damage to property after "KKK," "Negro" and "I hate black people" were discovered. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. Burton turned 21 on Dec. 10. He received an underage drinking ordinance violation earlier this year, according to court records.

Naperville:
A West Chicago woman faces a January sentencing hearing after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment, according to court records. Kristine Juline was arrested in August on charges she offered a sex act to an undercover police officer in a home improvement store parking lot. Authorities said Juline left a young female in the car parked in front of the store while she went behind the store to engage in the sex act. Juline, who has a previous felony drug conviction, is set to be sentenced on Jan. 9. Prosecutors dropped prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia charges during the Dec. 12 hearing, records show.
