Juan Thomas Campaign Office Open House

Juan Thomas, candidate for Illinois’ new 11th Congressional District, invites residents to attend a Campaign Office Open House and Volunteer Thank You party, Saturday, January 21, 2012.

The gathering is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thomas’ Aurora campaign office in downtown Aurora at 41 W. New York Street.

“Our supporters are critical to the success of the campaign and we just want to take time to thank them for all their contributions,” Thomas said.  “The Open House is also an opportunity to let all residents of the new 11th Congressional District know where we’re located and where to come to help with the campaign.”

Thomas was born, raised, and educated in Aurora, the largest city in the new 11th Congressional District.  For nearly 15 years, Thomas has served the community as a lawyer, small business owner, school board member, and youth minister.  In 2005, Thomas became the first Democrat to win the office of Aurora Township Clerk. He was re-elected Aurora Township Clerk in 2009 with 57% of the vote, receiving more votes than any other candidate seeking a township-wide office that year.
