Naperville Area Chamber PAC Endorses Ron Sandack

Ron Sandack is running to be state representative for Illinois' 81st District.

The Naperville Area Chamber Political Action Committee announced Wednesday their endorsement of Ron Sandack for State Representative in the 81st District.

The newly created 81st district includes parts of Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, , Westmont and Naperville.

According to Patrick Skarr, Treasurer and Board Member for NACPAC, the endorsement decision “is grounded in our foundational values, your position statement, your interview with the Board, and the campaign activity that we have followed over the past few weeks," according to a Sandack press release.

State Senator Ron Sandack responded: “I am so thankful for the support of these community leaders as they are the ones, not politicians in Springfield, who drive our economy and will lead Illinois to better economic times. I have been proud to stand as a champion for small businesses and job creators as a citizen-servant in government, and I look forward to continuing that all-important work as the State Representative for the 81st District.”

Ron Sandack continues to "rack up endorsements for his primary bid," the press release said, including Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford, House Minority Leader Tom Cross, Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno, government reformer Adam Andrzejewski, DuPage County Board Chair Dan Cronin, State Senator Kirk Dillard, State Senator John Millner, State Rep Jim Durkin, State Rep Michael Connelly, Stand For Children, For the Good of Illinois PAC and other leaders and organizations. Sandack began serving as a village commissioner for Downers Grove in 2003 and was elected mayor in 2007. He currently serves as a state senator for the 21st district, having been appointed last fall to replace Dan Cronin, who was elected DuPage County Board Chairman.

Also running for the 81st District Republican nomination is Debbie Boyle. Boyle currently serves as the vice president of the  school board.

The 81st district constitutes half of the previous 47th district. Petricia Bellock, who currently serves the 47th district, has decided not to run for the 81st, so there is no incumbent candidate.
