The law establishing Veterans Day was signed by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1954. An official U.S. holiday, Veterans Day honors the men and women who have served in the nation’s armed services. It’s observed every year on Nov. 11 in U.S.
Many governmental offices are closed for Veterans Day, as part of the observance. Here’s what we found that’s open and closed in Woodridge:
