Woodridge Swears in New Deputy Chief

Tom Stefanson has been with the Woodridge Police Department since 1998.

Tom Stefanson was sworn in as Woodridge's new deputy police chief earlier this month.

Stefanson has conducted numerous homicide investigation and has received many commendations in his career, according to a media release from the village. He joined the department in 1998 and has held several positions, including six years a patrol sergeant before becoming Detective Sergeant in 2010.

As deputy chief, Stefanson will oversee the patrol division and vehicle fleet.
