Benet Chosen to Compete in Comcast's First-Ever Battle of the Fans

The school's student section will compete with 15 others to determine the winner.

Benet Academy in Lisle has been selected to participate in Comcast's first ever Battle of the Fans Madness tournament.

The school was chosen based on "the excitement and enthusiasm it brought to Benet’s recent appearance on the CN100 Game of the Week during the 2010-2011 basketball season," according to a release from Comcast.

Sixteen student sections will go head-to-head in the competition bracket. The winners each week will be determined by who gets the most votes. Winners will be announced each week on Comcast's site and on the Battle of the Fan’s Facebook page.

The Battle of the Fans Madness Champion will be crowned on April 18. The best student section will receive a Battle of the Fans banner to display in its school.
