District 99 Art Show Opens at Woodridge Public Library Wednesday

The exhibit will open with a reception and award ceremony at 6 p.m.

The 4th Annual Community High School District 99 Student Art Show will open with a reception and award ceremony on Wednesday in the Gallery.

The show features 2D and 3D work from student artists at and High Schools. Pieces to be shown are selected at each school in five media categories. Additional judging takes place on the pieces once they are on display at the library.

Winners of Best-in-Show Awards then go on to participate in the national Creative Self-Expressions Show that is sponsored by The Great Frame Up stores all over the country.

Suzyn Mills, owner of The Great Frame Up in Woodridge, has helped sponsor District 99 prizewinners for several years in this contest. The reception starts at 6 p.m., with awards announced at 7 p.m.
