District 99 Has Preschool Openings for 2012-13

The preschool programs at both and in Downers Grove have openings for the 2012-2013 school year. High school students studying child development are eager to take on an active teaching role for the programs, which are designed for parents to drop off their children.

North High’s “Little North Stars” preschool is open to children ages three years old (by September 1) through kindergarten. Two, two-day a week sessions are offered, either on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. Both sessions run 12:50 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. The 9-week session runs November through December; a 14-week spring session runs February through May. The cost is $210 for the year.

North High also offers a “Playgroup” during the second semester, March—May 2013, for infants through ages three years old. The Playgroup meets three days a week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The cost is $90 for the 9-week session.

At South High, the 7-week fall session “Little Mustang” preschool begins the week of November 5 and runs through December 17, 2012. The 14-week spring session runs February through May 2013. Two, two-day a week sessions are offered, either on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. Both sessions run from 11:55 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. The cost is $350 for the year. 

South High also offers a “Pintos Play Group” to children ages two and three years old. The 7-week fall session runs October through December on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:05 to 11:30 a.m. The 7-week spring session runs April to May, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:05 to 10:40 a.m.
