Special Discussion on the Arab Spring and the Revolution Across North Africa & the Middle East

The public is invited to a special lecture, The Arab Spring: The Revolution Across North Africa & the Middle East, by Dr. Asad Al Khafaji at 7pm on August 15th at the Woodridge Public Library. The event will take place in the second floor conference room.  

Dr. Khafaji will discuss the broad movements that have been forming over decades but became manifest in December of 2010 in Tunisia and Egypt and continues today in places like Syria and Libya. 

Dr. Khafaji has worked in industry across the Middle East. In 2002, he was Member of the “Future of Iraq Project, Economy and Infrastructure Working Group” for the United States Department of State. He has taught physics at the College of DuPage since 1997. Prior to that he has taught and worked at a physicist across the Middle East. Dr. Khafaji is a published author and brings a great deal of knowledge to this subject.
