Technology Innovation Summit 2011

During the last decade, Chicago’s collar counties, while expanding in population have also experienced a reduction in revenue, businesses and jobs, as well as a dilapidation of vital infrastructures. In today’s tech-savvy age,the challenge for the next ten years will be to find innovative solutions and opportunities to reinvigorate ourcommunities.

The Technology Innovation Summit (TI Summit) is being organized in collaboration with the Illinois Institute ofTechnology’s (IIT) Center for Innovation Science and Applications (http://www.iit.edu/cisa/) and Iyka Enterprises,Inc. (http://www.iyka.com). The TI Summit will bring together experts in the fields of technology, innovation,leadership and community development. Sponsors include Verizon Business, Oracle and IIT.

The TI Summit will be held on November 16, 2011 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Illinois Institute ofTechnology Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Campus, 201 East Loop Road, Wheaton, IL 60189. Participants will benefit from expert insight and candid discussions with senior-level decision-makers who are shaping the future of technological advancements for municipalities. The TI Summit will spur networks and foster practical knowledge sharing among executives from Municipalities, Civil Services, and Public Utility Services.
Industry and municipal leaders such as Mr. Antonio Hylton, Technology Director for Verizon Business and theformer CIO for Cook County, Mr. Bob Schillerstrom, Chairman of the DuPage County Board, Mr. Kevin Burns,Honorable Mayor of Geneva and Philip McEntee, Managing Principal of the Technology Executive Network are among the distinguished speakers and panelists who have already committed to the TI Summit.
