Where to Volunteer in Woodridge

Is one of your New Year's Resolutions to get more involved in your community or to somehow give back to it? Do you feel there must be an organization your particular skills would benefit, but you don't know where to find it? Come to a lively panel discussion on Monday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Mahlke Meeting Room. Listen to representatives from several organizations tell how they need and use volunteers to help them provide various kinds of services in Woodridge and beyond.

The panel moderator will be Kathy Blair, Executive Director of Giving DuPage, an umbrella organization for not-for-profit groups in DuPage County. Other speakers from the Woodridge Community Resource Center, Metropolitan Family Services, the West Suburban Community Pantry, Literacy DuPage, the Library, and Sharing Connections Furniture Bank will be featured. Registration requested and can be done by phone at (630) 487-2577, online, or in person. For further information, email askus@woodridgelibrary.org.
