St. Scholastica Raises $6,200 in Walk-a-Thon for Technology

The annual fundraiser raises money for technology use at the parochial school in Woodridge.

students trekked around the school parking lot for an hour for the school's annual Walk-a-Thon for technology. Each student receives a pledge sheet to raise money. 

Thursday's fundraiser raised $6,170.39 for technology use at the school. Last year, the money was used to purchase laptops for every eighth grade student.

Students with the highest donations get the honor of throwing a pie at Principal Gail Kueper and Fifth-Grade Teacher Amy Yusko. The class with the most donations wins a pizza party. 

Second grade raised the most of any grade, with $1,201.83 in donations.
