Downers Grove North Names New Boys Tennis Coach

Dana Graczyk will serve as the new head coach for the 2012 spring season.

Dana Graczyk has been named the new head coach for the boys tennis team for the 2012 spring season.

Graczyk serves as a tennis instructor at Naperville Tennis Club in Naperville, as well as the boys junior varsity coach at . She is also an assistant director and college instructor, teaching a variety of tennis, golf and fitness classes and promoting health and wellness at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn.

Previously, she was the girls varsity coach at Hinsdale South High School. She also was a tennis and fitness professional at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, a national assistant director at Nike Sports Camps, and a coordinator for the 1996 U.S. Tennis Association.

Graczyk holds a bachelor degree in business from the University of Evansville, in Evansville, Indiana, where she played #1 singles and doubles all four years.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the players and their families in the spring,” said Graczyk.

“Given Dana’s extensive experience at private clubs and at other schools, we believe she will be a wonderful coach and knowledgeable resource for our tennis players,” said North High Athletic Director Denise Kavanaugh.
