Downers Grove North, South Football Schedules Released for 2013

It's getting to be that time of year again.

The IHSA has released football schedules for 2013 and for both Downers Grove high schools, the season kicks off Aug. 30.

Downers Grove South will face Benet Academy in its home opener, while Downers Grove North takes on Lockport Township.

The annual crosstown game between the Mustangs and the Trojans is slated for Friday, Oct. 4, at South High.

Downers Grove South finished the 2012 season with a 4-5 record. Downers Grove North finished the season 7-5, and earned a playoff berth for the first time since 2008.
