The 7th Annual Nighttime Scarecrow 5k Run/Walk will take place at Lisle Senior High School.
Advance registration is now available online, and there will be onsite registration prior to the run/walk on race day.
Those interested in participating can also register at the Lisle Park District office, 1825 Short St., Lisle.
The event will feature three categories: the Tot Run at 5:30 p.m. will be a 50-yard dash on the football field for kids ages three to six years; the one-half mile long Youth Run at 5:45 p.m. for 7 to 11 year-olds; and the chip-timed 5k run/walk at 6:30 p.m.
Medals will be awarded in nine age categories.

Tech t-shirts and food will be available for purchase.
Participants are encouraged to attend in costume. Prizes will be awarded for the top three costumes during the costume contest at 5 p.m.
The event will also feature a bonfire and hayrides. The race itself will be lit by luminaries throughout Lisle Communtiy Park.

Event proceeds will benefit Lisle Community Character Alliance (Character Counts) and Partners for Parks.
