NBC Coming to DGS for Pep Rally Friday

Downers Grove South had the most votes in NBC5 News Today Prep Destination Poll, so the school will be featured on the show Friday.

Who loves a pep rally before 7 a.m.? 

, apparently. The DGS vs. Brothers Rice match-up garnered 3,325 votes on the NBC 5 News Today Facebook page to beat out Mooseheart vs. St. Bede and Carmel High School vs. Crystal Lake South for NBC 5's Prep Destination contest. 

NBC will report from DGS Friday morning to recognize both DGS and Brother Rice students.

The show asks students and fans "to dress up with all their school spirit, bring signs and be ready to cheer loud enough for all of Chicagoland to hear." 

Crews will be on site at DGS at 5:30 a.m. and the feature will wrap by 7 a.m. with a dance, we are told.
