Learn How to Be Part of a Rock Band at Woodridge Park District

The park district's "Rock Band Live" camp will culminate in a live performance at a local music club.

Do you play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or other instruments
or love to sing? Then register for Rock Band Live. The programs is taught by Adam St. James, who is a Woodridge resident and an author and editor of numerous guitar and music instructional books.

Separate rock groups will form for kids ages 9 to 12, teens and adults. You must have some proficiency on your instrument, but the instructor will help you learn your parts as your new band rocks out on some of the classics found in the popular video games and beyond.

The eight-week program runs Friday, June 8 through Friday, August 3 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Woodridge Park District Community Center. The cost is $195 for residents and $292 for non-residents. Not only will you improve your skills, but you will also play in a live performance at a local live music club at the end of the semester and a get a DVD of your show.
