Woodridge Raises More than $4,400 through Cops on Top

Woodridge's two Dunkin' Donuts locations and the Woodridge Police Department raised thousands for Special Olympics this month.

Two fundraising events in Woodridge this month raised more than $12,000 for the Special Olympics and Illinois C.O.P.S.

raised $4,400 for the Special Olympics during the annual Cops on Top fundraiser June 1. 

Woodridge police personnel visited both of Woodridge's Dunkin' Donuts locations,  and . Patrons were asked to make donations from 5 a.m. to noon. Those who made a donation received a coupon for a free donut. Those who made a donation of $10 or more received a travel mug.

Woodridge raised about $3,000 last year during the fundraiser. 

The 87th Street location raised more than $2,500 this year, up from about $1,500 last year, according to Manager Mollie Reposh.

Reposh sent us this video celebrating two 87th Street employees who participate in the Special Olympics. 

The also raised $8,000 for Torch Run for Special Olympics and Illinois C.O.P.S. through a recent golf fundraiser.
