Trucks, Kites and Bikes at Woodridge Park District's Motion Explosion Friday

The will host its annual Motion Explosion event Friday. 

Highlights for this free event include a bike skills course, a sled dog team and the opportunity to climb into Public Works and Fire Department trucks. 

The event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the , 8301 Janes Ave. 

Motion Explosion participants are encouraged to ride their bikes to Cypress Cove to participate in the bike skills course, bring a blanket for a picnic, fly a kite and spend the afternoon getting up close and personal with the working vehicles that will be at the event.

Another highlight: a trackless train for the kids to ride around on.
