candidate questions
What is the primary reason you are running for this office?
As we see at all levels of government, the old way of doing business is no longer sustainable. Coming from outside government, I believe I can help government explore and implement a new "business model" in order to reduce the crushing tax burden on taxpayers, while maintaining core services at a high level. I also want to help make town government more transparent by televising council meetings and putting the village checkbook online.
What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?
Fight any and all tax increases.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I am independent and have a fresh perspective. I am not aligned with, or beholden to, any current officeholder. I can be totally independent and vote for what is in the best interests of Woodridge taxpayers. Also, I am the only candidate who lives east of I-355 so I can help raise awareness of issues particular to that large area of Woodridge.
How long have you lived in Woodridge?
8 years.
What's your favorite thing about Woodridge?
The sense of community and people's willingness to help each other.
What is the biggest problem in Woodridge?
High taxes.
