Founded in 1969, Woodridge Park District serves 35,500 residents and looks after 655 acres of community andMore neighborhood parks, sites, wetlands, woodlands, bike ways and open space. The Park District also maintains four facilities, including Cyprus Cove Family Aquatic Park, Village Greens Golf Course and the Community Center.

The Park District also offers more than 1,000 programs a year, from Totschool, kids' sports and adult fitness classes.

The Woodridge Park District earned its third Illinois Distinguished Agency Award for exemplary effort in providing leisure in 2004.

The Park District Community Center is located down the street from the Woodridge Towne Center.

Somerset Park

Somerset Park is the newest addition to the Woodridge Park District, having opened in October, 2010. The park is locatedMore in a subdivision off the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Hillcrest Lane, just north of I-55. Somerset Park has a gazebo, picnic tables, elementary play equipment, swings and a tot swing. The park also has a drinking fountain. 
Village Greens of Woodridge

Since 1959, this 18-hole golf course has invited the Woodridge public for tee time. Village Greens is owned by theMore Village of Woodridge and maintained by the Woodridge Park District. It features a driving range, locker room, golf shop, instruction and permanent tee times. Players are able to host their own leagues at the course or participate in the many leagues Village Greens has to offer, such as the Men's Club or the Executive Women's League. The course was selected by the Illinois Golf Course Owners Association as the 2001 Golf Course of the Year. The Village Greens banquet facility can be rented for private events.
