Five great events in the community that you should check out this weekend.

1. Free Evening of Yoga (Friday) The Woodridge Park District will offer a free evening of yoga to celebrate National Yoga Month. The event is open to those ages 16 and up, and pre-registration is required. Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel. 2. Neil Diamond and Elvis Tribute Bands (Friday) n a rare Chicago area appearance, award winning Elvis tribute artist Donny Edwards and Neil Diamond tribute artist: Denny Diamond will perform a live indoor concert at 6 p.m. at Christ the Servant Catholic Church. 3. Three local ceremonies honoring the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, plus Darien Fest information and more.

1. Sept. 11 survivor to address Darien-Woodridge Fire District ceremony (Sunday) A man who was in the south tower when United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into it and escaped about 15 minutes before the tower collapsed will address the ceremony, which will begin at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Darien-Woodridge Fire District headquarters. The headquarters are located at 7550 Lyman Avenue in Darien, off of 75th Street. During the ceremony, the district will dedicate its 9/11 memorial. At the memorial's center will rest a 3-foot section of steel I-beam pulled from the ruins of the World Trade Center. 2. 1. Hobson Corner Park Splash Pad is now open  This week is already a scorcher. Cool off at the Hobson Corner Park Splash pad. It's open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, weather permitting.  2. Janes Avenue Skate Park is now open  In case the skaters in your life haven't told you, the skate park has re-opened after repair work to its concrete was finished May 27.  3. Cypress Cove open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Speaking of cooling off, Cypress Cove is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, the full park is not open -- just Cattail Bay and Bullfrog Bayou.  4.
