Hundreds gathered at Lakeview Junior High Wednesday in support of an eighth-grader's recovery.

The message of the night was simple but strong: “Never, never, never, never give up.”  That Winston Churchill quote accompanied each candle at the vigil Wednesday for a 14-year-old boy. I'm praying for this beautiful boy also. We moved from Timberlake @ 87th and Lorraine to Ca. in 1970 but I still like to keep up with what's going on back there and this story just broke my heart. I have 6 grandkids and if one of them was crossing a major intersection by themselves like that, I'd be very afraid. I'm praying very hard for him and for his "Mommy and Daddy".
