Census: Woodridge Bests State Averages for Income, Education
Released Thursday, the five-year American Community Survey offers detailed demographic information on communities throughout the U.S.
The U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday released estimates from its American Community Survey, which provides local statistics for the combined years from 2007 to 2011 on everything from housing to employment to marital status in communities throughout the country. The numbers look promising for the Village of Woodridge, with an estimated median household income of $72,873, compared to the Illinois average of $56,576. And compared to the state average of 30.7 percent, 45.2 percent of persons over age 25 in Woodridge have earned a bachelor's degree or higher.
