Police Identify Man Found Dead in Darien
Body was found early Wednesday near 67th and Cass.
Darien Police Chief Ernest Brown said Thursday a man found lying dead on the ground near 67th St. and Cass Ave. Wednesday morning has been identified as Joseph Crockett, 49, formerly of Carol Stream. According to Brown, no foul play is suspected in the man’s death, which he said is “likely alcohol related.” Absolute confirmation will depend on the results of toxicology reports, the chief added. Crockett had resided with his sister in Carol Stream, Brown said, but most recently had been living at The Ponds apartment complex in Westmont, where the department of health sometimes houses subjects who are undergoing treatment.
