Disorderly Conduct, Smash and Grab: Police Blotter

Woodridge police reports, May 15-16

THURSDAY, MAY 16 Someone removed a purse from a parked vehicle after smashing a window at about 5:44 p.m. on the 6600 block of Route 53, police said. WEDNESDAY, MAY 15 A male juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct at about 8 p.m. following a disturbance at Interventions on the 2200 block of 64th Street, police said. Here's a round-up of recent, bizarre police report items from the area.

ST. CHARLES Jason A. Gatewood, 38, of the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, was cited at 5:47 p.m. April 14 at 48 N. 12th St., with disorderly conduct. Police received a report from that address that Gatewood was intoxicated and destroying property at a neighboring home. He was issued a notice to appear in court on June 20. DOWNERS GROVE A school resource officer and the Dean of Students at Downers Grove South High School spoke to a student at about 7:40 a.m. about an iPhone theft from the day before. "(The student) advised that he placed the phone on the shelf of the locker to change, and then turned away from his locker for only a minute and when he looked back, he noticed that his phone was missing," the officer said in his report. …

Here's a round-up of recent, bizarre police report items from the area.

DOWNERS GROVE A train ticket agent at 10:38 a.m. March 6 said that two people were involved in a loud argument lasting about five minutes that involved a 54-year-old man using vulgarity. The incident occurred at the Main Street train depot on the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue in front of numerous witnesses waiting for trains. A 78-year-old woman said she politely asked the man to quiet down and refrain from cursing as he spoke to other people. The man became angry and yelled, "You mind your own damn business and go away!" This is when the argument began. The man said he was sitting and talking to his friends when the woman yelled at him to quiet down in a disrespectful manner. Police Blotter: Woodridge Teen Charged With Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Woodridge Police reports Aug. 17 - Aug. 23.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 18 At approximately 9:30 p.m., a Woodridge teen was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Woodridge Police say the teen was in possession a BB gun in the 6500 block of Route 53. At approximately 3:30 a.m., Daniel Marcano, 20, of 2702 Kilborn in Chicago, was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor near the intersection of Hobson Drive and Wainwright. THURSDAY, AUGUST 23 At approximately 7:40 p.m., Anthony Taglia, 28, of 7918 Woodlyn Drive in Woodridge, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident in the 7800 block of Woodlyn Drive. If it was for the BB gun it was likely charged under the Village Ordinance. Specifically 5-7B-1, which was passed specifically so that kids that run around with BB guns freaking people out get charged with what amounts to a glorified parking ticket instead of an actual criminal offense. Woodridge police reports Aug. 10 - Aug. 17.

MONDAY, AUGUST 13 At about 11:45 a.m., Amal Centers JR., 33, of 2538 Forest Drive in Woodridge, was charged with disorderly conduct. Woodridge police say the charges stem from an incident in the 2500 block of Forest Drive. FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 At about 1:40 p.m., Kristin Jessup, 18, of 10s279 Glenn Drive in Burr Ridge, was charged with retail theft. Woodridge police say she removed various clothing items from the Kohl’s on the 1000 block of 75th street. At about 8:30 p.m., Jacqueline Alejandro, 25, of 7701 Dalewood Pkwy in Woodridge, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2400 block of Spring Street. Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct at Buffalo Wild Wings, Prostitution

Alcohol and gasoline stolen and more in this week's police blotter.

March 22  Disorderly conduct at Buffalo Wild Wings  Brian Vicich, 56, from the 2800 block of Hobson Road in Woodridge, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct following an incident at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6450 Route 53, Woodridge police said.  March 21  Prostitution Li Haiying, 34, from the 400 block of 23rd Street in Chicago, was arrested around 1:45 p.m. and charged with prostitution following an investigation, police said. Haiying was arrested in the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue.  March 20  Package stolen from outside door  Someone removed a package delivered to the outside a resident’s door around noon in the 8100 block of Route 53, police said.  March 19  Bikes stolen from apartment porch  Someone removed two…

Men Spit on Others, Break Glasses at Pepe's

The incident took place Sept. 10 in the 1900 block of 75th Street.

Two men committed theft and disorderly conduct after dining at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant, 1999 75th St., according to Woodridge police.  The two broke glasses and spat on other restaurant diners. They then left without paying their bill. The incident took place around 8 p.m. The two people are unknown and no charges have been filed. One man was described as tall and skinny, in his 40's with brown hair. The other was described as short to average height and chubby with brown hair.

Man Allegedly Threatens Two People with Shotgun

Item from Woodridge Police blotter.

A Woodridge man allegedly threatened two individuals with a shotgun Sunday, according to police reports.  James Kozak, 49, from the 6800 block of Prairieview Avenue in Woodridge, was arrested around 1:40 p.m. and charged with aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer in relation to the incident, police said. The incident took place in the 6800 block of Prairieview Avenue, police said.

Woodridge Man Charged in Lisle With Disorderly Conduct

Here's an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on Feb. 21.

Brian Lee Tidwell, 32, of Woodridge, was charged with disorderly conduct at the intersection of Maple Avenue and I-355 on Feb. 16 at 3:40 p.m. He was released on I-Bond.
