Fund Set Up for Woodridge Family that Suffered House Fire

A fund has been set up to benefit a Woodridge family whose house caught fire May 4. Anyone interested can donate money to the Dobbertin Family Fund at: Community Bank of Downers Grove 1111 Warren Avenue Downers Grove, IL 60515 A fire started in the attic of the family's home in the 3100 block of 63rd Street May 4, according to Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department officials. One firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure and was later released, according to Bureau Chief Jim French. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Insurance is covering. The fund had to be set up because a few of the local big box stores wanted to help with immediate needs from their local relief funds. The family is doing great. more ›
