Woodridge Police Reports Oct. 12 - 19.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13. At about 1:20 am, Oscar Garfias-Garcia, 32, of 8101 Waterbury in Woodridge was charged with driving under the influence, not having a valid driver’s license, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, speeding, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, following a traffic stop on 83rd Street at Piers. A passenger in the vehicle, Pedro Flores-Duarte, 24, of 2017 Apple Lane in Woodridge, was charged with littering, obstructing identification and illegal transportation of alcohol. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 At approximately 12:40 a.m., Nelly Aranda, 24 of 2504 Crystal in Woodridge, was charged with Driving Under the Influence. Woodridge Police say Aranda's blood alcohol content was over .08. Aranda also was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without headlights, following a traffic stop in the 7500 block of Janes Avenue, according to police. A Woodridge woman was charged with driving under the influence following the incident, which took place in Lisle.
A Woodridge driver struck several trees and two parked cars in Lisle Monday, according to police. Kimberly A. Fournier, 40, was charged with driving under the influence after Lisle police officers responded to a single vehicle accident around 8:46 p.m. May 28. Officers were dispatched to 6009 Forest View Rd., where they found the vehicle off the roadway. Fournier was processed at the Lisle Police Department and released on bond.

A Tennessee man was charged with two felonies April 22 after officers stopped the car he was driving near 75th Street and Lemont Road in connection with a fraud in progress in Woodridge, Darien police said. Robert Anderson, 48, of the 200 block of Burning Tree in Hermitage, TN, faces felony DUI charges, as well as felony charges for driving with a suspended license. Officers said he had glassy, bloodshot eyes, dilated pupils and slurred speech. He admitted to drinking and submitted to chemical tests, according to the report. Anderson remains in DuPage County Jail on $10,000 bond, according to jail records. Police found his passenger, Alicia M. Incidents of driving under the influence were most reported by the Woodridge Police Department in 2011, according to Woodridge police reports. There were 65 DUI incidents reported. Car damage was the second most-reported crime with 46 incidents and thefts from Kohl's, 1001 75th St., was third with 43 reported incidents. Every week, Woodridge Patch posts the most recent police blotter from the Woodridge Police Department. By compiling the data from each of our reports from 2011, we found which crimes were most reported last year. The police blotter is prepared by the police department and does not include traffic charges. While charges were made in some of the instances, these charges could have been dropped at a later date.
