Police Blotter: DUI Arrest, Grafitti, Retail Theft

Woodridge police reports, March 30-April 1

MONDAY, APRIL 1 Someone at 8:25 a.m. reported graffiti on the underside of the gazebo roof at the Janes Avenue Skate Park on the 7900 block of Janes Avenue. Someone broke the front window of a business on the 2000 block of 75th Street. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. March 29 and 7:42 a.m. April 1. SUNDAY, MARCH 31 Thomas Corcoran, 39, of the 400 block of North LaLonde, Lombard, was charged at 2:18 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on 75th Street at I-355. FRIDAY, MARCH 30 Magdelena Vitone, 19, of the 400 block of Highland Road, Willowbrook, was charged at about 3:40 p.m. with retail theft after removing sunglasses and hair bands from a store on the 1000 block of 75th Street.  Looking …

Police Blotter: Items Stolen at Seven Bridges Golf Course

Woodridge police reports, Nov. 4-7.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 7 Travis Chiaro, 19, of the 6900 block of Sun Drop in Woodridge, was charged with criminal defacement of property. Police said he was spray painting in the Lake Harriet underpass in the 7700 block of Woodridge Drive. SUNDAY, NOV. 4 Dearron Wims, 18, of the 8200 block of South Maryland in Chicago, was charged with theft. Police said he stole a backpack from someone at the Janes Avenue Skate Park.  Like Woodridge Patch on Facebook. Someone stole $40 in gas at about 1:05 p.m. from Thornton's Gas Station, 2401 63rd St.  A wallet and iPhone were stolen from a golf cart at Seven Bridges Golf Course at about 3:45 p.m. Looking for more Woodridge police news? Police Blotter: Underage Drinking, Graffiti Reported

SATURDAY, NOV. 3 Someone spray painted graffiti on the walls and ceiling of a tunnel at the Lake Harriet underpass sometime between 11:59 p.m. Nov. 2 and 4 a.m. Nov. 3.  Like Woodridge Patch on Facebook. FRIDAY, NOV. 2 Two bicycles were taken from a home in the 8200 block of Janes Avenue at about 9:10 p.m. Nicholas Petrovic, 19, of the 3200 block of Pitcher Drive in Darien, was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of 75th Street.  Looking for more Woodridge police news? Graffiti Painted on Underpass, Concession Stand: Police Blotter

Woodridge police reports, Oct. 21-25.

THURSDAY, OCT. 25 Someone stole about $104 of gasoline from the Thornton's Gas Station, 2401 63rd St., at about 9:20 p.m. MONDAY, OCT. 22 Graffiti was spray painted on the wall of a concession building at Janes Avenue Park, 7927 Janes Avenue.  SUNDAY, OCT. 21 The entire wall of an underpass connecting Lake Harriet to Lake Carlton was spray painted with graffiti.  Miguel Morales, 37, of Bolingbrook, was charged with harassment by electronic communications and disorderly conduct following an incident in the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue. Police Blotter: Resident's Patio Glass Shattered, Other Criminal Damage Reports

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29 Woodridge Police received a report of criminal damage to property on the 7700 block of Woodward Ave. According to the police report, the crime happened at about 1 a.m. Someone shattered the patio glass of a resident's home with an unknown object. FRIDAY, AUGUST 24 At approximately 2 a.m. near the intersection of I-355 and Internationale Parkway, Woodridge Police discovered someone had marked a highway overpass with graffiti. Police Blotter: Residence Egged; Thefts at Target, Kohl's

Gator bags stolen  A thief removed four gator bags used to water newly planted trees around 10 a.m. in a park located near 63rd Street and Park Avenue, police said. The theft was discovered around 10 a.m. Theft from Kohl's Rodney Chambers, 41, from the 500 block of Irving Place in University Park, was arrested around 11:15 a.m. and charged with retail theft after he removed various clothing items from Kohl’s, 1001 75th St., police said.  Graffiti found on underpass Someone marked the underpass at the intersection of Interstate 355 and Internationale Parkway with graffiti, police said. Sidewalk, Overpass Marked with Graffiti

Items from the Woodridge police blotter, May 12 and 13.

Two locations were marked with graffiti on May 12 and 13, according to police reports.  Graffiti was discovered on an overpass located at the intersection of I-355 and 71st Street around 7:50 p.m. on May 12. Someone marked the sidewalk with graffiti around 5 p.m. on May 13 near the intersection of Janes Avenue and Kildeer Court.

Someone marked the walls in a stairwell in the 2400 block of Meadowdale Lane around 10:40 p.m., police said.  Someone removed all four tires and rims from a parked vehicle between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and 8 a.m. Nov. 23 in the 2400 block of Meadowdale Lane, police said. Someone smashed the side door to a business and removed approximately $200 around 3:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of 75th Street, police said.
